DALAN Theatre & Events Collaborative is proud to announce the upcoming production of INÂ, The Musical in September 2027. It is a landmark original Bikolano stage play that reimagines one of the most enduring stories of faith, identity, and heritage in the region. DALAN is seeking partners and patrons of culture and faith to work with them as funding supporters to bring this major theatrical work to life. With four free public performances planned, INÂ, The Musical aims to bring this important story to audiences who may not otherwise have access to it.

For generations, Bicolanos have carried their devotion to Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia through storms, loss, uncertainty, and hope. INÂ, The Musical follows characters whose faith is tested as they search for purpose, belonging, and something worth believing in. At the heart of their journey is the origin of INA’s devotion—how a story born centuries ago continues to shape the soul of Bicolandia today.

Inspired by history and themes first explored in a 1997 comic, DALAN is reimagining INÂ’s story through original music, movement, and theatrical storytelling. As the script evolves, so does the promise of a production that honors tradition while speaking powerfully to a new generation.

The Creative Team

INÂ, The Musical will be shaped by distinguished artists:

• Producer: DALAN Theatre & Events Collaborative — a creative marketing, distribution, and production organization based in Naga City dedicated to amplifying and sustaining theatre, films, arts, and events across the Bicol Region.
• Musical Director: Joy Wendel Arco—a pianist, composer and publisher of orchestral arrangements.
• Script: Sari Saysay— a veteran Bicolano playwright and longtime scriptwriter affiliated with Sining Banwa, a theater group based in Bicol.
• Choreography: Arjay Madrid – a world-class contemporary dance artist, choreographer, and graduate of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde.
• Cast and Production Team: To be announced

This team brings together some of the region’s most respected creators, united by a shared vision of elevating Bikolano stories to the national stage.

Our Goal: Four Free Public Performances

INÂ, The Musical is being developed as a major original production for September 2027.

We aim to raise ₱3,000,000 to complete the production and present four free public performances.

This fund will support:

• Artist and performer honoraria
• Musical scoring and orchestration
• Set, costume, and lighting design
• Technical production and venue requirements
• Marketing, documentation, and community outreach
• Free access for audiences across Bicol
