The Kintab Artists Group Inc. (KAGI), a group of Bicolano artists based in Naga City, Camarines Sur, recently held an art exhibit titled “Ethereal Echoes, Colorful Journey” at the ARTablado Art Gallery in Robinson’s Galleria, Ortigas Center, Quezon City. The exhibit ran from November 22 to December 5, 2024. The guest speaker was Yu Ming Chin, Executive Director, Viventis Search Asia, Inc.. He was introduced by Cookie G. Marquez, RLC Corporate PR Manager.

As reported by Bravo News PH, in behalf of Robinsons Land Corporation, provider of the ARTablado platform to support Filipino artisits, Kintab suffered setbacks caused by Typhoons Kristine and Pepito that ravaged through Bicol but managed to adapt by reconfiguring their schedules and salvaging damaged works to continue their mission of bringing Bicolano art to Manila.
The exhibition featured works by 26 artists with a range of styles and themes, tied together by the idea of exploring the ephemeral and enduring echoes of life. The participating artists are Edgar Baesa, Cris Fagata Gomez, Dennis Nieves, Carissa Salceda, Abegail Reyes, Claire Yen Malanyaon-Leuterio, Aldrin Amaro, Reymel Gonzaga, Peboi Millare Selleza, Ron Aragon Ruadil, Ramon Pascua, Nick Valenzuela, Ar John Noe Garcia, Ryan Pascor Morales, Moi, Melchor Sabariza, Mia France Bermeo Dorosan, Marivi Encinas, Marjorie Sisno, Jurrel Magistrado, Mac Allison Aguirre Calleja, Jojit Begino, Harold Gomez, Jaime Coralde III, Elden Lumaniog, MD, and Gladys Gomez Borromeo. The vibrant array of artworks included paintings, sculpture, and mixed media, each representing the artists’ unique interpretations of the lingering impressions of human experience.

Mission and Activities
KAGI’s mission is to provide a platform for its artist members to express their individuality while simultaneously promoting Bicolano art and culture. They have been actively involved in various art initiatives, including:
- Solo Exhibits: KAGI has held solo exhibits showcasing the works of its members, such as the “Kurit Aki” tote bags display in 2020 and the “Making Art affordable to Everyone” exhibit in 2021.
- Artablado Exhibits: KAGI has collaborated with Robinsons Land’s Art Ablado platform, a space dedicated to showcasing Filipino artists. They have held exhibitions in Naga and Robinsons Galleria, Manila.
- “Kani Goan” Exhibit: In 2022, KAGI presented their “Kani Goan” exhibit at Robinsons Galleria, featuring around 80 artworks by over 20 members. The exhibit explored the concept of “kani goan,” a Bicolano term meaning “to fill something empty,” which resonated with the idea of art as a way to fill emotional voids.
Impact and Recognition
KAGI has gained recognition for its efforts in promoting Bicolano art and culture. In april 2023 Kagi is granted by The Cultural Center of the Philippines with a Installation art Project SUROGPON KITA (we are interconnected) using endeginous material for thier art installation at the CCP front ground lawn. Their exhibitions have been featured in various publications, including Nylon Manila and BusinessWorld Online[3][4].
